On 25 July, 2024, the inaugural cruise ship of the Chinese cruise line brand “Astro Ocean Cruise”, named “Piano Land”, set sail from its home port of Shanghai with a rejuvenated appearance. The duty free store onboard, run by China Duty Free Group’s subsidiary, China Duty Free Cruise Service Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “cdf Cruise”), was officially open at the same time. The store offers travelers a wide range of shopping options and convenient shopping services, thereby greatly enhancing the maritime cultural and tourism experience.
The “Piano Land” is acclaimed for its elegant design and opulent aura. Its signature tiered ducktail design, complemented by a soaring atrium crowned with tailor made glass in fashionable blue-green colour, a panoramic bar surrounded by 180-degree floor-to-ceiling windows and an expansive seaside promenade, creates an inviting and welcoming ambience.
The “Piano Land” spans 261 meters in length and 32 meters in width, with a total tonnage of 70,000 and a full capacity of 1,800 guests. The duty free shop, situated on decks 6 and 7, occupies an area of 650 square meters and is a haven for numerous top tier international luxury brands, including categories such as liquor, leather goods, jewelry, accessories, sunglasses, cosmetics, fragrance and confectionaries. This provides guests with the opportunity to enjoy the abundant facilities onboard and the scenic seascapes along the route, as well as the convenience of one stop premium shopping.
To mark the grand opening of the duty free store, cdf Cruise has collaborated with leading brands to introduce the “Piano Land” exclusive co-branded collections. This will further enhance the consumer offering.
