October 30, 2024 – China Duty Free Group (CDFG) has partnered with German luxury brand Modern Creation München (MCM) to operate the MCM boutique at Terminal 3 of Singapore Changi Airport. This is the second luxury store operated by CDFG at the airport, underlining CDFG's continuous efforts to develop Singapore's travel retail industry.
Founded in Germany in 1976 as an alternative to traditional luxury, MCM was the “enfant terrible” that created the ultimate accessories and lifestyle goods. The MCM boutique, operated by CDFG, continues to harness MCM's heritage of sophisticated rebellion to pioneer new expressions of luxury for a new generation of independently minded consumers. To celebrate the opening of the new MCM boutique, a limited edition commemorative pendant inspired by Singapore's iconic Merlion will be launched in December.
Going forward, CDFG will continue to advance its globalization strategy and strengthen its operational strength in hub airports. Through brand collaborations, CDFG will further enhance its competitiveness and create more market value in its international retail services.
