In the evening of February 11, the launch ceremony of the CDFG Public Welfare Micro-Plan and the CDFG Public Welfare Appreciation Party was held in the China Convention Center. General Manager Lu Lu, Secretary of the Party Committee Chen Jianshan, other leaders of CDFG and distinguished guests and representatives attended the launch ceremony and the appreciation party.
At the launch ceremony, a public welfare video called “Light the Hope with Love” briefly reviewed the development of CDFG’s public welfare activity. Since the establishment of the China Duty Free Hope Foundation, from voluntary donations during major disasters, to dispatching a business backbone to support the economic development of the frontier, and to the improvement of educational facilities in poverty-stricken areas, CDFG always takes on its social responsibility as a corporate citizen during its own development. Chen Jianshan, Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice General Manager of CDFG, gave a speech and thanked the distinguished guests and representatives for coming.
Taking successful micro public welfare stories such as the “3 Yuan Free Lunch Plan”, “Taking Pictures to Help Child Beggars” and “Pencil to Schoolhouse Exchange Program” as a background, and taking an average member of CDFG personnel as an example of voluntarily participation in these activities, the “CDFG Micro-Plan: Allow a Great Love to Come Together, Bit by Bit” micro public welfare proposal demonstrated the public welfare force of allowing a great love to come together, bit by bit. This “Allow a Great Love to Come Together, Bit by Bit” micro public welfare action and its attitude towards life struck a chord with the guests. They signed their names on the proposal letter and expressed their intention to practice these micro public welfare actions bit by bit such, such as not driving a car on one day, smiling more, using less paper, donating more books, and delivering the public welfare concept. They also pasted the green heart-shaped proposal letter on the tree, symbolizing CDFG’s public welfare. At last, General Manager Lu Lu lit the public welfare tree which bore the love and determination of thousands CDFG people, and the CDFG micro-plan was officially launched.
In the subsequent summative speech, Mr. Lu said, the people at CDFG’s devotion to public welfare never stops. From the CDFG people who participated in public welfare activities, from the individuals and corporates who participated in micro public welfare, the CDFG people have borne witness to the public welfare spirit of “small actions with great love, but small changes add up”. The core spirit of the CDFG micro-plan is to propose and pay attention to the essence of public welfare, letting every person at CDFG offer their love and come together for a great public welfare force with boundless and extraordinary love, bit by bit. Mr. Lu called upon every person at CDFG to establish the mind and the lifestyle of public welfare, and to practice the “CDFG Micro-Plan” bit by bit. One small step of everyone will come together to form the giant step of public welfare!
